Culture represents the identity of a nation. Given the rate of emerging technology, the current generation is ignorant of the culture once celebrated by our ancestors. In order to preserve the artefacts & contribute to the digitalization of the museum, Redington Foundation supported the Art & Photography Foundation which was established as a Public Charitable Trust in Bangalore in 2011 by providing financial assistance.
The Museum of Art & Photography Foundation in Bangalore has a collection of more than 20,000 priceless artworks and a team of trained conservators preserves them for the long term. This is a $35 million project with a $2 million annual operating budget. Currently, the museum requires IT infrastructure such as networking equipment, server & storage systems & other equipment. In this regard, Redington Foundation donated Rs. 1 crore for the digitalization of the museum.
