Disability is a matter of perception. Disabled people can do lots of in their lives. But they are stopped from doing what they can best do because of the various barriers. As quoted by Ralph Waldo Emerson, what lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us. The Foundation felt the importance of imbibing this belief in the differently abled students. In an attempt to empower the differently abled, it rolled out an exclusive program at Shanti School, Sivasailam.
To Foundation aims to address the needs of the following differently abled people:
- Intellectually challenged
- Physically challenged
- Hearing impaired (Deaf and Dumb)
- Visually impaired
Employability training process is centered on enabling the differently abled children with technology, knowledge and expertise from various sources to reach their maximum potential. The Foundation, in association with the specialist teachers and support staff, aids the existing institutions of differently abled in teaching sign language, providing special applications enabled Tablets for their advanced learning as well as by providing vocational training. The program is structured in partnership V-Sesh, V-Excel, RASA foundation, Amar Seva Sangam and Amarjyoti for creating facilities for the training of the disabled people in various professions and trades.
The training program makes the differently abled self-sufficient as the training program helps them to start their own business or get jobs elsewhere.
